The Pillow Top Footstool is designed and inspired by a unique chair originating in Wales: the Welsh stick chair. Kenton Jeske’s adaptation of this form and its staked construction (primarily with hand tools) harkens the Pillow Stool back to its origins. However, with its lustrous finish, accenting details and beautifully tufted seat this humble stool is elevated to a new and refined place of versatility. The Pillow Stool’s minimal footprint allow it to situate perfectly as an accent piece in an entry, living room, hallway or bedroom. The removable cushion options it as a step stool or a low side table alongside its more obvious use as a pillowed foot rest or a cushioned seat.
